Rambus

US-based Rambus, established in 1990, is a semiconductor IP company mostly focused on memory technologies.

In 2012 Rambus bought Unity Semiconductor, an RRAM developer, for $35 million, and the company is still developing RRAM technologies. In 2017 Rambus licensed its RRAM patents to Western Digital, and in 2018 Rambus (together with China's GigaDevice) launched Reliance Memory to commercialize RRAM technology for embedded devices.
